Andreas,
Do you have a stock motor? There would almost be no advantage to buying an Aftermarket damper over a stocker. If the prices are similar, an aftermarket damper such as an ATI may help dampen much better than the the original. But then there is the issue of balancing. Im not sure what the final word was but i have read that the LT1s use the front balancer and flywheel to balance the motors from the factory.
If you don't want to use an oem or aftermarket damper, perhaps you could use an underdrive pulley kit to free up some horsepower as well. aspracing sells underdrive kits for our cars. I've used it and think they are great.
From what i know, i think the reason they don't make it for 92 is because they originally came with a double sided belt. in 93 they switched mid-year to the single side belt that continued to 96. if you have already switched to a single side belt then this kit is good for you. if you havn't you can upgrade to the newer style by swapping the necessary pulleys and belt. Im sure i have seen kits on ebay but the parts can be bought from gm. Hope that helps
Thats true there was no f-body LT1 in 1992. What he's saying is there is 'no' 1992 corvette listed. Asp says it has pullies for 92-96. Im 100% that the 92 and my 93 are identical except for 1992 and early 1993 having double sided belts and some pullies being grooved. I think this was the reason asp chose not to make one. If you do a search you will find a lot of members have upgraded to the later style pullies and belt.
