Default EPROM TCC Lockup question

I've been working with trying to set up my tranny to avoid locking the converter uner 40MPH at all, and engaging over 40MPH when in 4th(OD).

Here are some questions for the PROM folks:
1. I've gleaned from posts on thirdgen that "Low gears" means gears 1-3, and "high gear" is OD or 4th. Is this right?
2. There are TCC values in tables and in constants. Are the constants an overriding "master rule" regardless of what's in the tables, or is it for WOT or no throttle? How do I use the constants?

If I never want the converter to lock under 40MPH in 1-3 gears, would this work:

low gear Constants: TCC Unlock speed to say 1MPH, Lock to 150MPH?
low gear TABLES: Put all tps% in LOCK table to .1 and all in ULOCK table to 99.9?

Now I'm thinking I may be backwards. I really need someone with some experience to help. I'm so confused

Default Re: EPROM TCC Lockup question (jcygan)

If you have serious questions about proms you need to check out a new forum. Go to thirdgen . org (take out the spaces) they have a DIY PROM board that is a huge asset to anyone burning their own chips. If you go their you can search the archives for "TCC" and you'll get a lot more info than you expect. The moderators their are serious about burning proms but always want you to check the archives because they don't like to continually cover old ground.

A few of us from the Corvetteforum are members over there as well. I've been a member there for a few months and think I've reached four or five posts. Most of my questions are found in the archives so I need not ask again

Good Luck!
