While at the NCM this week I took pics of an LT4 engine there. I now own an LT4 and thought the details might come in handy as they are difficult to see in the car. Hope this is useful to someone:

Great that you posted pics makes me wonder sometimes how some people think their LT4 car is a completely different car than an LT1

there you have it... theres uhh... red lettering on the outside yaay !

Different crankshaft, different pistons, different cylinder heads, different intake, different camshaft, different rocker arms. Hmmm, just a tad more than red lettering isn't it.

Someone needs more time on this forum if they think the only difference between a LT4 and a LT1 is lettering. I would safe that someone hasn't driven an LT4.....Hmmmm
