fender well, (liners)
The upper fender wells, or liners, or what ever you wish to call them, they are held on with some funky fasteners, maybe fancy rivets, or something I have never seen before.
how do they come out?
I'd rather not drill through the hood

we must be looking at 2 different years. The 1996 model certainly does NOT have Torx. I do know what a torx looks like, and no.
so does anybody with a 96 know what fasterners those are.
there have 3 slots, unlike a torx....
and placing a torx head in the soft brass fasterner ate up the inside of the fasterner.
