ASR LIGHT
What is the ASR light and how do I get it off. Both the ASR light and the ASR off light is on in my 1996 6sp, and the button did not seem to do anything. What do I have to do to fix it.

The ASR light is for your traction control. The light will come on (when the ASR system is on) when you loose traction and the computer will push your gas peddle back at you to get the tires to hook. It also retards your timing to cut back on power be applied. I can only imagine what is wrong with your car since you have the system off(the ASR Off light is on) and you have the ASR active light on, which would mean that you are loosing traction. I haven't seen this condition yet, but I would think that you got a bad sensor somewhere. How does your car run? Is the ASR working at all? I don't have a good enough maual to tell you what is wrong. Ask a Vette mechanic at a dealership if you don't get any answers on here. Good luck. :cheers:
