1985, brake caliper rebuild question - HELP
WTF! OK, i'm just about ready to give up! there's the caliper housing, piston, and 2 seals - not rocket science! i can get the seal on the piston OK, but i can't seem to get the seal (w/ piston) in the groove on the caliper housing. there's gotta be some sorta trick (or tool) - ??? can anyone help? TIA -

I just rebuilt mine you do not need any special tools. The first time I tried I put the piston in the caliper and then tried to put the dust boot over the piston and into the groove, I could not do it. What I did was put the boot on the piston first and then slide the piston into the caliper the boot will go right in the groove, you might have to use a small screw driver on the back side where the clearence is tight. be careful not to puncture the boot. I hope this is what you were after.
