Default em group purchase extension ?s

i did the em header group purchase last month and said i would call them back after i decided on the extension set up i want to run. i met another lt4 owner here inky and he was running tpis headers and used some generic 3 inch extensions with band clamps on the front and welded in the back. looked like a good setup and sounded great.im trying to justify purchasing the no cat extensions as they are quite pricey. by the way i have a force II cat back with super 40"s

Well I may get flamed for this but I will give you my opinion. I purchased the extentions with mine. There are many problems with them for me. First, the flange hits the shift linkage on the transmission. second, they are only 2.5 inches. After wasting the money on them , cutting one trying to make it fit etc. I ended up using 2 pieces of 3 in pipe, and as you said welded it to my existing 2 & 3/4 exhaust. I dont know if you have a automatic or stick, but if a automatic dont fool with them.
Just to add, the headers have been great, however I have noticed a few specks of rust coming through the coating.

Has this been fixed? Has the size been changed to 2 3/4 inches. I just ordered some that are supposed to be shipped soon. I have an auto. Now you have me worried.

Thanks
