Default EGR tube

time has come to remove the passenger valve cover again but i have to remove the EGR tube
is there something i could use to replace the convoluted part of the tubing i would rather not replace the whole thing as it costs so much but it leaks and the crimp on ring is a pita to deal with

i want to keep the egr system intact because i want the car to stay sellable

btw my dad has given me till monday to have my car driving again but due to work that leaves the weekend and friday afternoon so there is some urgency

wow... I don't know what to suggest.

You could take it to a muffler shop and someone might be able to weld up a replacement.

I guess this means you are selling the car?

Have you tried the used market? You are REAL close to www.corvettesalvage.com. Talk to Dino or Johnny, tell them I said hi.

you guessed right as soon as i fix the engine, air condition and paint it it will be on the market

i had thought about some high temp hose but couldn't think of one that could stand up
the ends of the tube are still good so i thought i would cut out the middle and slip a hose over the stumps

i'll check out the used market

you might get high temp to work... but it would have to be heat rated at 1000F!!!!
