just put accel base svo inj. on, tried puttin on the slp siameserunners on drivers side last inject.(#7cyl.)is so close inject. plug wont fit, has anyone had this problem, I called slp tech guy said first hes heard of that(yeh sure)&runners were made around stock manif.(blamin that) , then lookin on pass.side looks like #2cyl. inject. will have same problem . . :bs :mad
Yep, slp's fit knda sucks.... I had to put mine on the grinding wheel in a lot of places. Check the clearance at the fuel rails , the fuel line, and the manifold bolts. If its binding even slightly it will look good, but have a vac. leak! :U
Btw,
If you have the cold start valve, make sure that piece fitin the CS valve hole..the SLP runner hole for the CS valve is never machined right and the valve ends up sitting sideways or not flushed causing a annoying vacuum leak.
You can unscrew the CS valve off the fuel rail small rear pipe and by hand push it into the runner hole and check for fit before you bolt it all down.It should "pop" in there like it does with the GM runners.
If not and it doesnt sit all the way flush, youre going to have to do some extra grinding with the dremel tool.
Check the fits before you install it all the way.
I had this problem and it took me a while to figure out what went wrong.
Once it was all off and back on my work bench I spotted the tiny opening where it didnt sit flush in the hole.
:(
thanks bill, I already tackled the cold start with file(ok here),also siamesed the plenum plus grinded down a few other spots during dry fit, but the inject. clearance was a surprise I put the stock runners back on, did u have this problem W/ inject.& plug clearance, doesnt seem u can file to much on runners , car is runnin good now dont know if I should try again jinx it.
