Default 1990 Vette and wbO2 datalogging

Anyone here have a 1990 Vette with the 8D_wb patch bin file and datalogging successfully???

I have TunerPro RT, CM's AutoProm and Datamaster along with an LC-1 . Tomorrow I will be starting up the new engine and was hoping to get some pointers from someone who has actually done this.

Crossing my fingers that this will work, but I keep reading at thirdgen.org people having problems.

I have the same car/eng, I had TunerPro working for about a year logging data with no problems, then one day, nothing, could not connect. Talked with Magnus and he advised that it is a hit and miss on connecting due to the digital dash/CCM in the car. He also said that this would be fixed with the release of version 5.0 later this year. I can't explain why I had no problems for a year with several data logs and no problems and then something changed?????
I am trying to get datamaster to work and so far no luck, the manual says it should work, but so far nothing, still have afew things to try before I give up.

I have already been able to get datamaster to log just fine.... but I have not tried with the wide-band O2 set-up.

Check this link for more info on the wide band

What did you have to do to get datamaster to ignore the ccm? I tried disable for the ccm handshake but it didn't work for me.

If the patch doesn't work there are other methods like bringing the WBo2 signal in on a aux input already there.. Say, like AC pressure.

Then you can build a custom definition to read it however you'd like in tunerpro.

I've done this several times before.. Works nicely. But can take some math.

Nothing, I just plugged and played. I was told that Datamaster were the only ones who could log the 90-91 ECM. Never fear though, TunerPro will be releasing version 5.0 sometime soon and will get around the CCM. I do not know what else to tell you......

I have no idea how to build definition files. I have too many other things to do right now, so for now, I have to rely on the work of others.

which aldl map are your guys using? I've always used the moates free DOS version but decided to give the TunerPro RT a try. Can't seem to get a stable datalog? Numbers are all over the place & just don't seem to jive w/ what the car is doing??

Thanks!

Yeah, I would love to see your log. What are you logging with? If you are using TunerPro, how did you get around the CCM?

Mine is a 90 8d etc. and I have datamaster, tuner pro rt, apu1, lm-1 etc.
I purchased all parts needed from c.moates for the lm-1 to be plugged in when I bought the emmulater. With everything plugged in using his parts I have no problems (knock on wood for fear of the corvette jinx).
The biggest thing was going through the initial set-up, using the lm-1 waitng for the 02 to heat up, and locating the emmulater w/ribbon behind/below the ecm. I had only one issue w/the ribbon cable and Craig r&r'd it with 1 week turn around time (n.c.).
I like the way datamaster is laid out better, but for the emmulation the RT is good. I have more trouble w/datamaster sometimes recognizing the correct com port, and the ammount of time that windows allows for logging (too short for my liking), then running all the other stuff at one time.
