Heading to Pocono next weekend for a track day. No racing or timed runs, more like high-speed driver's ed. The road course there is pretty fast with one 14 deg. banked 700 ft. radius turn leading to a 1/2 mile straight. I've been told I could see 135MPH or more. There are also some tight turns to mix things up.
Anyway, given that info, does anybody have any recommendations about what tire pressures I should run at the track? I have stock FX3 and the second set of GSC's so I am not expecting to handle as well as some of the more "prepared" vehicles that will be participating.
I'd try to have it 35 psi hot. The pressure from heat buildup will raise more than in a regular street environment, so check it right after each run. I'd start with 30 cold and go from there.
