Default L98 Build Out

I like my L98 but feel it can use a little more well, punch.

What do you guys think of this:

http://www.thevettedoctors.com/05_packages_C4.shtml

The 350/350 package at the bottom. It includes porting and polishing the heads and intake, cam, 1.6 roller rockers, chip.

I have an exhaust and I am considering Stainless Works headers to go with it, so we'd have to negotiate the price a bit. I also have a chip (installed simply to start the fans sooner and have the car run cooler)

I can absolutly do this work myself. However, it's a time and patience thing.

Opinions please...................

If you put in their camshaft, you will need the chip redone.

I think the price is a bit high, but not unexpectedly so.

I never accused those guys of being cheap. But I expect that if I go with them, they know Vettes better than anyone else. I am simply paying for TIME. I don't have the time to do it myself.

Are these mods worth while? Are there better ways to spend the money?

What I like about these mods is that the motor/car can still appear stock, while having more grunt.

my setup cost about as much as that and Im about as fast as a c5 and faster than an lt1 now. Dont have recent dyno #'s. I think you could do your own setup, spend the same amount and make more power.

Did you do similar mods?

I am sure they reccomend a cam, however I will pick the cam, lifters, and rockers, I probably won't use what they give me off the shelf, unless it's the right spec, which I will run past you guys when I get it. I don't want to go THAT radical with the cam. The car still needs to idle and run AC. I really just want them to do the labor.

It's the porting and polishing that I really need them to do, as they have done it many times before. I've put cams in cars while the motor was still in, in fact in my last C3, and it's a realy PIA. If they're going to do the heads and intake, may as well have them do the cam too. At least I know the car is tuned when I leave.

How are those headers? Do they fit well? Never saw them. Are they stainless or coated?
