Default Relocate MAP sensor?

I did not know that the 88 did not have the MAP mounted to the Plenum. Any way thats the one I'm trying to install on a 90-L98. Is it possible to relocate it as opposed to drilling holes in a plenum I just had chromed ? I can get a source for the pressure. I just needs to reach the connector. will the additional length affect the reading of sensor? I would appreciate any help on this matter. Otherwise I need to send my 90 plenum to be chromed and wait another 4 weeks. I know I did this to myself but I bought it here and thought it was exact change out.

Most GM vehicles had the MAP located on the firewall with maybe as even more than 8" of tube. The length of the tube, within reason, shouldn't matter. Basically, don't install it at the rear license plate.

True, it doesn't matter where you locate it. I used the trim screw for the hood seal to the left of the distributer on the firewall. The harness will reach with no mods.

Default Thanks again!

I polished a aluminum braket that I built and used the org. bracket attached to mine. About 6 inches of vacume line 3/16. So far so good I really appreciate a site like this . A master degree is useful,(maybe) years of real experience priceless. Thanks Ray
PS I live 5 miles from a corvette salvage 10 acres of vets . If you need me to visual verify something prior to shipping I would be happy to do so. I just like any excuse to go hang out there. I can't go there with out buying something!

Hello neighbor, I believe you are talking about Dino's Corvette Salvage. I live about 20 min from there.
