and does my car sound KEWL! It is louder, deeper, and the annoying 1100-1300 rpm resonance is gone! I haven't driven it too hard yet to see if it is much faster, but it sure is louder! When I looked at the cats after removing them they looked bad, but not awful. I just replaced them with exhaust pipe. Lemme know what ya think. While the car was up in the air I replaced the O2 sensor (still original), and also put a new cap and rotor in. Hopefully I am getting closer to spinning those tires.
Now that's the ticket. I had my front Y replaced with a custom 2 1/2" SS one. That combined with hi-flow cat and good cat-back netted me about .3 sec off my 1/4mi ET.
I bet Co is a bummer with that high altitude. Sounds like the ideal place for a blower. You could use it to just compensate for what the altimiter takes away, and maybe a wee bit more.
Nice job............you could make some money with skills like that........I'm sure there are quite a few L98 owners in your area that would be very happy to throw some business your way.
I am in the process of removing my front Ypipe and replacing it with a straight Ypipe. I unbolted it yesterday and had no problems with the bolts or the studs.
