Default Recalls still valid ????

I have an 84 Vette, And there are some recalls for that year... Seeing as I dont know if the previous owners clamed them... Can I still claim them an old recall?

As far as I know yes - probably more info at www.nhtsa.gov
Stop by a Dealer and they'll run your VIN. Any not fixed should be fixed.

I'm not sure that the GM system still retains warranty work on cars older than 95. I was lead to understand that the system retains info for 10 years.

As far as I'm aware, a recall never expires...

Be well,

Ok; I called NHTSA and they said that in general it's 10 years but to call chevi and findou out...
So I did; they ran a check to see if there were any open recalls (Recalls that were not compleated on my car) and theye were not...

Looks like they keep the information longer than 10 years...
