Just hooked up my new motor in my '86..... lt-1 manifold conversion
it cranks over, there's spark, and there's pressure to the fuel rails, but the plugs are bone dry so i don't think the injectors are firing
does anyone have any ideas?
could the oil pressure switch have anything to do w/ this?
i dont have it plugged in, but if i jump the terminals on the plug I hear a hissing sound but the injectors still dont fire
From what I understand the injectors are supposed to pulse in sequence with the cylinder thats about to fire. So it would seem to me that either a bad conection or a computer problem. I am sure someone will chime in who has more knowledge and give a firm answear

Well, cheap way is to get a injector noid light and see if the ecm is firing the injectors. Check the + side of the injector for voltage. If there is power, but they are not firing, you'll need a scanner. Check for DRP's. Injectors won't fire if there is no DRP's. (because the ecm will think the motor is not rotating).
GM EFI is pretty simple. shouldn't take long with the propper tools. Once you've got the first batch of testing (noid light, injector power check, EST ref to ecm not broken, etc) I can suggest the next phase of testing. A scanner would help though.
