Default AC stopped on 94 LT1?

AS well as new clutch needed, the AC stopped today.. it just engages compressor clutch and about 1 to 2 seconds later it disengages and just repeats this cycle. Very slightly cool air is out of the vents..Any ideas please?
Thanks

Sounds like you are low on Freon.. Have the system checked for leaks..

it sounds like you are short cycling on the low pressure sw.
check all connections add some refrigerant and you should be good to go. once it is running, check for leaks with soap bubbles(concentrated liquid soap). good luck.

Have it checked for leaks. If it's losing refrigerant, the problem could occur again.

yes..they did check for leaks and yes there is a very small leak somewhere but they could not find it! So they put in a Dye( shows up in ultraviolet light?) in the new refrigererant so the leak would show up..they suggested that if no leak is shown visibly that the odds are it is the shaft seal on the compressor pump,,time will tell. Thank you for your input. Hope it lasts the summer and will do shaft seal over winter.
