Opti.....Did I Mess UP?
I replaced my opti this weekend and when i put it back together and tested it coolant started leaking from the water pump gasket. When i pulled off the water pump again, i noticed the gasket got kinked when i had to adjust one of the bolts. Problem now is when i got a new gasket and put it back together again i started having problems. The car would idle irratic and then cut out. I'm think (worse case) that when i took off the water pump the second time some of the coolant leaked on my brand new opti. What do you guys think? I'm just so upset right now. All that money and time and i potentially screwed myself even more.

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. It is possible that the Opti took a coolant bath. Here's hoping that's not the case. I'd suggest you check to see if the plug/coil wires got wet, and if so, try to dry them.
Did you install an OEM Opti, or one of the aftermarket units?

You should have permatexed the plug area on the OEM opti they all leak there.You best bet is to pull it off wipe it out hit it with a hair dryer.And use the right stuff all along the area that the cap meets the case and all around the plug.Since it is new I doubt it is seriously damaged but you could spary it out with electricla cleaner while it is apart.Also permatex the gasket onto the pump to begin with.
