Very hard to say...I know it did on my engine, but mianly in the upper RPM range, say from 5800-7000. If you're not revving that high you might not see much of a difference.

Without knowing what cam, i wouldnt say for sure, but i think a 52 might make a difference up top.

Throttle response should still be good with the 383 under it.

The throttle body is mostly a restrictor plate. The engine is going pull in what ever it needs. True air velocity comes into play where the intake meets the heads. That said, the higher the engine revs, the more air it consumes, and this is where the larger throttle bores will help the most. If you're going to buy one, I'd go with a 58mm.

Iam using 52mm on my 383/219 cam/SR intake ithout any problem throttle response is pretty good, but since 58 and 52 mm not much difference in price wise so consider 58mm. Chek sale section tere are coupe of people selling 58mm TB.

I had an inprovment with mine. int exh 224/230 115 lsa ICA of 112 with 0.581 lift. for the record car made 352 to the rear tires with an unlocked converter. The car made 298 to the tire before with the converter unlocked. only changes were 58mm TB cleaned up intake runners and camshaft. The cam I replaced was the LT4 Hot Cam.

I have the Edelbrock 58 on mine now. I don’t have that hot of an engine now but I didn’t see buying the larger one later when I did beef it up.
P.S. The Holy- TB sucks. They didn’t have the cam right and it would not go to full throttle. Also, I stretch the throttle cable trying to get it to open up all the way . It was not possible with that cam . This was in 2000 so they probably fixed the problem now but at many peoples expense. So, just my opinion, HOLY TB FOR THE LT1 SUCK. They were going to fix the cable for me and they went as far as sending me a letter saying that they were aware of the problem, however their vendors had too many in stock to recall. They apologized and said they were going to have me send my car to a Chevy dealer and they would replace the cable. Then they changed their mind I guess, the person I talked to retracted their statement on the letter and said I would have to sue. They told me to sue. I didn’t even mention it.

Well I ranted enough. Buy what you want. Good luck.

You will have to open your intake up with the 58 mm.
Its an Easy cut though.
