Passenger Window Stuck
Hey all,
Yesterday I lowered both windows on my 85a4. I heard some sort of "clank" noise from the passenger side, but didn't think anything of it. Well, when I went to raise the window later that night, I found that the window comes up about a quarter of an inch or less and then stops. It doesn't even make it out of the door. It seems to me that it starts to go up for a split second and then gets stuck on something. I removed the door panel today but can't seem to find the cause of it yet. Any ideas?

My problem is that I can't get to the track or anything because the large metal piece in the door is not allowing me any access. I don't know if it's removable, but with it in place, I can't reach anything.

Mark all the 10 mm bolts.take a picture about 5 of them.
That is so you know where every thing goes.
Do you have the ability to know what you are doing?
I would put the window all the way down so you can get the door panel off.Unplug the window switches at the plug in the door not at the switches.
After you get the door panel off without breaking anything we can go from their.
If you have never removed a door panel then this is not a job for you yet.
The screws you have to watch for are behind the bar light and the lock.
That is so you know where every thing goes.
