I did the basic service and didn't touch the knock sensors or mess with the bleed valves because I was scared of the opti. I drained the radiator pet **** and filled with water 3 times before adding antifreeze and distilled water. So far so good. It hasn't gotten hot and it stays at 207. The low coolant light didn't come on either according to the manual. Should I be worried about the air bleed valves or will the air work itself out? Thanks.

If you were filling the radiator with the Vette running and at full circulating temperature it should of been able to "Burp" out all the air during the filling process!(Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what worked for me!)

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Matt

That's basically what I do, except I don't have a drain-**** so I just pull of the bottom radiator hose, drain, fill with distilled water and drive it a couple of days, repeat twice, then fill with water and anti-freeze (and water wetter). Just put a rag under those burp-screws and you should be safe.

The car was off when I was filling it. So far so good going down the highway. It's actually at 203 on the hwy. I'll check it tomorrow to see if it's needs a little more. One day I'll get to the knock sensors when the humidity and mosiquotes are gone.
