That looks really good, I have the edelbrock runners on there now. So you sanded then polished? Im pretty much looking to make it look nice but not "chrome like". I might get carried away though. What sand # and polish did you use?
Ya I started sanding out the casting marks using 800 grit paper then finished with 2000 grit, then used different polishes to bring out the shine a lot of work but well worth it. Red rouge polish, then Tripolli, then mothers aluminum polish.
My plan when i put the car up this coming winter is to take the TPI ysytem off and have it chromed. matter of fact i plan on adding a good bit of chome this coming winter
I removed my intake, and had it powdercoated, partly because it also had the traditional oil leak. I also did the plenum, runners, valve covers, and associated brackets. The process used was to media blast the parts, powdercoat, bake @ 375 degrees for twenty minutes, then clear coat, and bake again for twenty minutes. The nice thing with powdercoating is it is a world of colors, and the more parts you do, the cheaper it becomes per part. My avatar is a picture of my recently completed motor.

Looks good! Im gonna have this done by the end of the week and Ill try to post some before and after pics. Some new valve covers and a shine will make it look nice. It will be a diamond in a goats *** the way my paint job looks right now too.
