Check some other stuff in the area... Lighter, AC, etc... There are 2 circuts serving the bose and therefore 2 fuses that area required to make it light and play... If the fuse is burnt, the radio will light but there will be no sound... Try and find all of the items not working and then hit the box for one that sounds close... If need be, yank all 10, 15 and 20s to find it... Mine did the same thing and it was a fuse, just can't remember which...
Does your antenna go up and down, or at least try? The stupid bose amps are tied through the antenna so that they don't come on unless the antenna is in the UP position.
I found that out when I connected my aftermarket CD player in such a way that the antenna would stay down while listening to a CD, but would go up when listening to the radio. Guess what, I only got sound when listening to the radio. I had to re-wire it so it raised the antenna any time the unit was on. It wasn't hard, but very irritating. Kinda annoying that way.
U may have 2 call the dealer and give them U'r Vin # or remove the radio and give them the serial #, then they'll give U the code 2 key in 2 make the radio work.
Did you check all of the fuses or all that looked associated with the radio?? I don't want to beat a dead horse but as I recall, mine was a fuse for something like the heated mirrors or some crazy thing... On the first check it was so goofey I didn't find it... Once I began to try them all I found it... Just a thought...
Could also be that all of the speakers are blown. You could pull one out and hook up another that you know works. Very simple to do and could save you a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting. Try to find a low ohm speaker, the 4 ohm that I hooked up barely made any sound, but enough that I could verify that the amp was working. A meter of some kind would also work if you have one.
Do the 95's still have the Bose amp relay?? My 86 was doing the same thing, everything worked except no sound. Dealer told me to replace the relay and that was the problem.

another way to test the speakers is to hook a battery up to the terminals of the speakers....they should flex at the rolled rubber edge if they are good
i had a buddy check mine with his makita drill battery and a couple pieces of wire! you could get away with a 9 volt battery.....
sounds to me like something else (i don't really have an answer though).....not likely that all speakers will blow at the same time.

Of course not at the same time, but he recently bought the car and they weren't working when he got it. They could have popped individually over time. Mine had one blown when I got it.
Don't know if this helps but, I replaced the battery on my 91 coupe and had it disconnected for about 20 min. After replacing it with a new battery, the radio still worked fine except for the pre-sets.
This can be tested by running a 12V signal to the positive side of one of the Bose amplifiers. This will apply power to all of the amps, and if the radio or whatever is on and you get sound you know the relay's blown. Replace that (about $13-$18 depending on where you go) you're back in business.
On the other hand, you'll know if only one or some of the amps are blown if you get no sound out of them. When I did this to mine I discovered 1 amp was out completely, and another was weak, with the amp having to be replaced.
Don't know where the relay is in a 95, but in my 86 it's located WAAAAY back on the firewall just to the right of where the radio itself sets in the dash. I found this out on my car by consulting the shop manual.
Anyway, before even worrying about where the relay is, I'd suggest pulling one of the rear speakers ('cuz they're easier to get to than the fronts) and try the test I suggested earlier. If the speakers/amps work then you know it's the relay, and you could then find out exactly where the relay is.
If need be I have a 94 Gold Bose w/ CD head and Bose relay sitting in my garage that if interested will sell. Don't want much, but if repairs are excessive let me know. I know everything works, but the CD might need a good cleanning. Good luck.
I disagree with 92TripleBlack. If after step 3 do not repeat steps, take a short handle 5lbs. sledge hammer and imagine you are using a can crusher until you can use a course hair pushbroom to clean the garage floor. :smash: :smash:
