Smoke coming from behind engine
I just got my vette running again last week. I noticed that when ever I drive for more than 30 min straight the engine will start smoking. The smoke really isnt noticeable until I have come to a complete stop.
Is there something that usually smoke coming from the rear of the engine?

check your oil pressure sending unit. I had exact same symptoms. On my '95, the smoke was coming out of the hood on the drivers side. They leak just enough to trickle down to the exhaust pipes. This is a common problem with the oil press. sending unit. It's an easy fix, use teflon tape when installing new unit.

: I hope that is not it. I did notice that the driverside o2 sensor plastic melted on the cat converter. I scraped the melted stuff off, and put the wires and connector pieces in a safe place.
I hope that fixes the problem, if not what you guys mentioned sounds like a good ploace to start.
I cant say it had a oil burning smell though.
