If so, what do you think? Was it worth the time and effort?
It all depends on what you want from your engine. Most installs on the C4 forum would be the SR intake, runners and plennom. No need for the additional computer system shown on the system you noted.
There are plenty of opinions for and against the SR. It is a pain to install, although there are some good installation faqs available.
Do a search for Superram, you will be able to research the subject for hours.
I have it and I love it. I'm one of the ones who will tell you it isn't hard to install, but I've done it like 4 or 5 times. If you have the right tools and do it what I'd consider the "proper" way then it is a breeze.
If you run a search, you'll find more insights than you can ever read.
In short, the decision to use it or another style of intake (miniram, modified Stealthram) depends on the engine characteristics you would like to have or to keep.
Want raw, tire shredding unrefined SOTP torque, but extreme difficulty during installation? Then you should go for the SuperRam.
If you want simplicity, top end power, and ease of installation, then I'd go for the MiniRam. Your L98 would act very much like an LT1 motor with it if you decide to keep the stock cam like I did.
I just wrote a thread about my MiniRam experience. So far, its been floating my boat ever since day 1, except a code 45 scared me today, but not much.
