anyone see these new little compact superchargers? They have a kit for a Gen 3 motor but no real good applications are made yet. Seems like these little units are limited but the best unit can support 690BHP....they claim. Just thought i'd throw out what i saw looking around late last night.

The design sounds the same as a Paxton setup..
Might not be bad. Just remove the A/C and fab up a bracket to put it in place of the A/C compressor. Should work well.. Not expensive either..
these superchargers are great! altough small they do make the numbers! they are soo small cos they operate at more like turbo speeds. this means they work more effecently that conventional centrifugal SCs.
the only real thing holding up us guys from using em' is the bracketry. Som e of you guys can CNC machine brackets which makes it easier but i don't have the access. Looks like a cute little unit that could make a nice LT1 sleeper or L98 run stronger.
Anyone have ideas on placement? I would think passanger side where most SC's are placed?
I thought that they were more efficient then what they claim on the website based on the hot rod article. Efficiency wise, they seem similar to what's out there currently.
Some have had problems with traction drive... it does not use gears for step-up. Efficiency is higher because of RPM, although not sure what it will do on LT1 mass flow wise.
looks very simple and tiny. could be promising if someone took the effort to buy one and stick with the plan to make it work on a C4. That company does there own CNC,welding and fabrication of exhaust, headers and brackets so maybe if they would make a bracket for us that would be even cooler.
I saw this car and met the owner at the 2006 Hot Rod Power Tour. The guy works for/sales these blowers and was very helpful answering my questions. These units are extremely quite as they have no traditional gear sets w/teeth. They work off of a planetary, friction drive, gearset and the impeller speeds are similar to those of turbos. the down side is they are made for a european market where engine sizes are about half that of our domestic market (i.e., mustangs, camaros, and vettes).
I was following a build up utilizing two of these units for a SBC, I lost interest due to such a lag in the timeframe of the project and cannot remember where or what forum I was following it on.. this was last year sometime when they were being talked about.. i will see if I can find the site and post a link. sounded like a pretty neat setup to me!
