I'm starting to go through the 85 I just purchased and have two questions related to that plus one general question. Here we go:
1. I changed the plugs and wires and did a Seafoam treatment (the smoke is cool!). When I am idling it is all over the place from 500 rpm to 950 -- just fluctuating back and forth. It is worse when I am in drive with my foot on the break at a stoplight. Why?!?!?!?!
2. Tried the parking break, now the dash warning light wont go off. The break isnt engaged.
3. Best Corvette magazine. Ive seen Corvette Fever and Corvette Enthusiast. Any others?

Re/ the park brake light issue, I'd check the switch for proper operation and adjustment, assuming that the brake, cable and lever are indeed fully releasing. I've not seen all of the Vette mags but the ones I've seen I've not been overly impressed with, especially for C4 info. I'd rather do my own research, here and other places on the internet.
I have an 85 and I get more info here than in any book or magazine, but I'm not saying not to read any! Its the experience that's worthy here. By the way, I have to try that seafoam........ Do what Vader says, any questions, ask!!!

The unstable is probably do to a vacuum leak and/or dirty IAC and TB. Vader86's website will tell you haow to adjust the TPS and minimal idle. For the IAC I would take it out of the bottom of the TB and clean it good with carb cleaner and a toothbrush. When the TB and IAC are clean and you have set minimal idle, if it is still there, check for vac leaks. It's easier to take the TB off to get the IAC off.
