now that ive got new injectors and adjustable fpr i have another strange issue. When i crank the car fuel pressure maxes out at 25 psi.....even with adjustable fpr set to highest setting. This just started. 1/2 hour ago, i could reach as much as 60psi with the FPR, and had to adjust it down to 35-38 at idle. One time while adjusting it fuel pressure dropped to 20psi and i cranked it back up to 25...that is now as high as i can get it. however if i turn car off, it instantly jumps to 30-35 psi...and holds..if i crank it, its back to 20-25
Are you sure you installed the AFPR correctly? I know you installed a new fuel filter and if the pump will send 60 psi it should be a problem. As you know it's the FPR that controls pressure.

Sorry to keep asking question but what brand AFPR did you purchase? How many miles on the fuel pump?
Heres the latest update. I pulled the pump and test it with a line run stright to the tank. 65-70 lbs. Pressure does bleed back down but very slowllllllyyyyyyyyy
I put on a new fuel filter in case the last one was bad. no change
Still only get 20-25 at the test port on the fuel rail.
How could the regulator be installed wrong? It was working fine then just stopped. Since ive gone this far im going to install another pump, just incase.
Im sure another update will be coming forth soon..damn glad im rich
Well guess what...its not the fuel pump...new one and have same issue. Ive either narrowed it to a restriction, or the regulator has gone bad.
Heres another odd thing. If i sit and rev the engine, all is fine...revs freely. If i put it in gear and give it gas, the car cuts out and stalls at 1000-1200 rpm. throw it back in park and it catches itsself and starts idling
I took the Holly FPR apart and guess what i found. The wafer disk spring had jammed on itself and was stuck. unstuck it, put it all back together and full pressure now fine at 40psi...even still have more if needed, but i think it will run fine where it is.
