Thanks for checking. I am fine. I live high enough to be dry. I spent the day moving my buddys dyno and machine shop. Then we moved a neighbors whole 1st floor up to the 2nd floor and attic. He is on oxygen and cannot do it mimself. His wife has stage 3 cancer too . Then I spent a few hrs helping a 3rd friend move his chit upstairs. Busy day.Bad bad stuff going on here.

That's really great. I drove home from Boston to NC Sunday night and into Monday, had rain nearly all the way, including here. It finally dried up here, I hope better weather is heading up that way too.

I experienced on 2002 the same problem with a a river near to my house. I saved my corvette stored in a undergrouund garage just in time removing it in a a safe place.. Only waiting an additional night to move it and my vette was covered by water..
I passed one full day with the water at my waist removing water from the dress store of my wife. We lost all dress and we closed the activity
...and never received a refound from the insurance ...
The only good thing was that 3 days before this disaster, born my first daughter.

Pete,
I know what you are going through. It is good to know you live on high ground. Your help is appreciated more than you can imagine. Keep it up, we are rooting for you
A year or so ago we were flooded and I used my boat to save more than a few residents, D@mn it felt good to help. It is the american way to assist others that are are in need. Still waiting for pictures though
I saw the drama on the news today. Glad to hear you are ok and are doing your part to be a good neighbor/samaritan.
Thanks again. Helping out is just what everyone does. This area has been hit hard over the past 34 years with 5 major floods. Most of the people around here step up to the plate when this happens. River crested early this morning and is beginning a slow climb down. They are starting to let people back to clean up some of the neighborhoods. Quite a bit still under water though.
