RPM vibration - / Conceptually correct?
I need to know if my feeble brain is firing on enough neurons to understand correc tly.
I have an RPM specific vibration - always shows up at about 3300 - doesn't matter what gear - or in neutral.
So I'm working on the assumption that it is either flywheel or clutch
It has to be before the tranny right?
It's a problem because I changed motor, clutch, flywheel, and trans all at once so i'm having a little problem isolating the cause. (The motor ran smooth in the previous application - so I'm assuming it's OK)
I am having the iron flywheel called for by GM (zz4 one piece seal)spun along with the Fidanza aluminum one - to see if they match. then I will put a new clutch onto the assembly and spin that -
So what am I missing?

Although the Fidanza is supposed to be a direct replacement, many have found that it requires additional balancing.
When I had vibration issues, it was right at 3000. Match balanced the Fidanza flywheel and presto - vibration gone.
i will need to replace the top alt bracket - it broke - though the welder down the street is giving it a go at repairing it - so we will see.
The big problem is gunna be remembering where everything attaches - andf how it was routed! I should have been smart and sprung for a decent digital camera before I tore it down!
I have eliminated the air pump - and fabbed up a small pulley mounted on a custom bent piece of bar stock to keep the belt routing correct - went to a shorter belt to compensate- then took off those tubes on top of the headers - and filled the holes with a little weld - there's alot more room to work in there now!
