Last year I was getting these intermittent SES lights. It would go come on occasionally, stay on for a day or so, then go away. This lasted for about a year.
When I had the car smogged last Jan. the gas cap had to be replaced due to not passing the pressure test. As I was washing the car last night it dawned on me that I havn't seen a SES light since the cap was replaced. (Knock on wood)
Maybe something to consider if you happen to experience the same symtoms. Happy vetting!
Big problem with OBD2 cars with a lot of dealerships, both foreign and domestic having to simply screw the gas cap on right to clear the code. I didn't think OBD2 came about until '97 though.
