I want to change from my current Dana36 with 3.07 gears to a Dana44 with 3.73's, where can I buy all of the necessary parts to give to my mechanic? Also, what speedo gear change is necessary? I thank you in advance for any assistance.
Winter is the time to buy... There was one on Ebay a few days back (in 3 or 4 pieces) and were all listed together.... Not sure if it is still active but you can check... Buy Used!! Lot Cheaper and then rebuild...

Re: Where to buy Dana 44 setup complete? (bellmd)
I got mine from Not Just Vetts in NY, http://www.partsforvetts.com
I got verything including a new posi and 4.09 gears.
Had it in about a week at a very fair price ($2,100. inc shipping)
Best deal and workmanship I could find.
JD, turned me on to them. Panuzzo 3.73 Dana 44 camme from there also.
Check them out.
I got mine from Contemporary Corvettes in Bristol PA. They got me a 3.54 from a 92. Very sweet! Factory setup absolutly no noise! 3.73s aren't going to make that much of a difference then with going with stock reliability. I only Race a couple of time a years but tons of fun over the stock 2.59's. Theb 96 uses the power programmer to change gear ratios but it did not have the 3.54 so I lied about the tire size and checked it with a GPS right on! They sent the rear to me UPS around $1200 complete with drive shaft and torque tube. I had a local repair shop install it for $400 Done Deal!
I bought my 3.54 Dana 36 from the same place Mackey bought his D44.
Like he said, great price and workmanship. Ed stand behind his work 100%.
