Block Material?

How do I know if my 89 C4 has an aluminum or steel block?

Stock 89's have cast iron blocks and aluminum heads.

I would do thee magnet trick! It should stick! or could scratch it, but this is not necessary!(It's Cast Iron!)

I saw one of those blocks in person. Too bad I was too much of a noob to realize what I was looking at.
