Default 93 Mods??

I am in the process of purchasing a 93 ruby 6 SPD. I am interested in doing some minor mods to jump that HP on it. I am just open for some ideas on what some reasonable possibilities are. I dont want to go crazy with it just a few grand is all. Thanks

gears, headers, catback exhaust system

I would recommend you drive it 6mos before modifying it though, just so youre sure what you want.

Just remember, if you mod out your Ruby, you will lose some of the resale value. If you want to mod a vette, buy one that you won't spend as much on and you won't mind losing money on. But that is up to you, it is your car.
Are you going to be racing?
I personally do not like shifter's like that, though there are several people on this forum that have them. If you are not going to race, then I think it is a waste.
Better to spend your money on headers, gears, wheels or something like that. Just my .01 worth.

PS - Keep you stock parts so you can put them back on when you sell the car, stock almost always bring in more money then when modded, but there are exceptions.

Some great advice has been given already...I like the idea of you driving it for a bit before you mod the car...I'll add that you need to let us know what you want the extra HP for...do you plan to road race it, drag race it or just cruise around the streets with it?...if you fit your mods to the application you have in mind you'll be much happier in the end and you won't be spending money you don't need to...

The idea of saving the stock parts is a good one as well if you don't plan on keeping the car...

Thanks for the input. I plan on keeping the car, I have a few other post about this car. It did have damage at one time but will be fixed so not worried about re selling the car. I am going to keep it, and I will not be racing it just a cruiser is all.

I would do gears, 1.6 or 1.7 roller rockers, heads reworked, LT headers, and a cam. In my experience the factory exhaust is fine. I gained nothing switching. Also the factory TB 48mm works just as well as the 52 I tried.
