Default Engine Fan not Working

I have a 85 Z51 and the fan on the front of the rad is working fine, but the fan that is in betweent he engine and the rad does not seem to be working...IS there any tests I can do to check this fan? If it turns out to be defective what are my options???

Thanks!

Sure, unplug the fan and jump 12v to the fan motor and see if it runs. Eventually the brushes wear out and the fan motor quits. Also, the fan relay can fail and with the ign in run, jump the green/white wire on the fan relay to ground. The fan should run and you should hear the fan relay click. If not, replace the fan relay after you have measured 12v going to the fan relay with ign in run as there is a fusible link on the 12v line.
