Default Throttle Performance Switch

I tried a search but couldn't find anything on this mod.

Will someone please tell me exactly, if anything, what a throttle performance switch does? Here's the description and the link:

Our Throttle Performance Switch will provide an immediate improvement in throttle response and the maximum amount of fuel and timing advance. Best of all, installation is a direct plug-in to the throttle position sensor and requires no tools! Great for any stock or modified engine. Does not affect idle and is 50 state legal. Instructions included. Not recommended for use with computer chips or programmers. Instructions included.

It sounds okay, but I want to make sure that it will accomplish what they claim it will. Has anyone installed one on their C4? The description says that it's not recommended for use with computer chips. Why would that be?

Not a damn thing.

If you want to go 100% throttle, put your foot down.

The verdict on that is that it's a waste of money. Nice avatar by the way.

The day I see the "Tornado" being sold in the major vette catalogs, I will take that as a personal insult.

Several years back, they had an infomercial where some guy with his two C4's boasted and raved on the immediate difference he felt in performance. They must have paid him.

I love these current ads for the Fram equivalent to the FIPK that K&N sells...

These morons in their trucks making all these silly engine noises, boasting about how much more powerful it feels... it is making additional noise when floored, it's utterly amazing how that extra air honk makes people think they have more power.

I appreciate all of the feedback and the compliment!

I thought that it might be , but I hadn't seen it talked about like the air foil, etc. Now I know and I'll pass.

It was determined to be a waste a long time ago...

Check out the C4 Tech FAQ at the top of the page... it has discussions on what DOES work and DOES NOT work.

I meant I did a search and could not find anything. I'll check out the FAQ section to see what else I can learn. I'm still finding my way around.

Haey, I have one of those sitting in the bottom of my test tool drawer...I thought it was for testing the tps voltage but some-one broke off the extra wires for the meter...So i added new ones. Now if i could just figgure out where it came from to begin with???? No wonder it got dropped off in the dead-end zone of my spare useless parts pile.
