Easy to operate at first, but it takes tiome to understand all the info? or hard to understand at first? Just curious. What is you most and least favorite part? thanks
Indispensable. It has paid for itself a couple of times over in diagnosing bad parts. Spend the extra money on the "Plus" version, as it can graph various sensor readings against each other, i.e. O2 sensor vs. RPM.
There are some competing products out there, but I have not seen them up close.
Easy to use. The help files and book give good entry level explanations of all the readings (such as Block Learn Multiplier). It's old, DOS based software (I bought mine over ten years ago) so it runs fine on old laptops - you can get a good working 386 laptop cheaper than the software!
The TTS software is much newer, (of course Steve Cole feels it is better than Diacom), so you should comparison shop. I bought TTS's MasterTune software for burning PROMs a few years ago, and it worked as advertised.

Plain old Diacom cost me $300 eleven years ago. Five years ago I bought the upgrade to Diacom Plus for $250. It's expensive, if you know anybody else with a GM vehicle, try to split the costs with them. My buddy has an Imapla SS and I actually got him to pay for the Plus upgrade. We've only fought over who gets to use it a couple of times!
