LT4 383, Hot Cam, '95' camaro set up/electronics:

I have a set of (Bosch 0280-155-931 LS1 injectors 28 lb.hr (294cc) @ 43.5psi ......High impedance/ High Z). ...... Can I safely get this fuel pressure from a '95' Fuel pump?

Would this screw up the LT ~ OBD11 electronics?
Or would others - simply be better to use. I could buy others, but if this would be a very good set up, then I would go with these.

Also, what’s the deal about mass air flow sensor vs speed density.

Yes, with the stock pump you can easily get the pressure needed to use these injectors to their maximum capacity. I have them in mine and use an AFPR. Can't help you with the MAF vs. SD.

How are you doing on your TB?
I have the lrg BBK, and of course the stock one. ....Should I use it or lose it.

Any Ideas about electronics?

I had a BBK and it was okay. It took a little screwing around before I got a good idle though. I now use a 52mm Holley and it worked nicely from the get-go. The electronics (the computer I assume you mean?) doesn't really know what injectors you have in it. Of course it will all have to be addressed with a good dyno-tune when you're done.

Speed/Density:
In 1990, the MAF was eliminated from the engine in favor of a speed/density system. This system uses a sensor called the MAP sensor which measures the Manifold Absolute Pressure (hence the name MAP) and compares it with the atmospheric pressure outside the intake manifold. This information, coupled with the Manifold Air Temperature, Engine Coolant Temperature and Engine RPM is used by the ECM to determine the amount of air entering the cylinders. It is a different way of reaching the desired 14.7:1 air-fuel mixture ratio but functionally is like the MAF system in that the ECM uses the feedback to control the "on time" for the injectors.

Mass Air Flow:
Corvette used this approach in the 1990 and 1991 L-98 engines and in the 1992 and 1993 LT-1 engines. With the 1994 model C4, they went back to the MAF system. Note that MAF based systems are far more accurate since they measure air flow directly whereas the MAP system infers air flow indirectly. A multitude of things can throw the calculation off and Corvette returned to the MAF system beginning with the 1994 C4 (with a MAP backup). From a troubleshooting standpoint, the MAP operation comes into the sequence the same place that the MAF does.

Post the question in "Scan and Tune" I'm no expert on tuning, far from it. I don't need to be, some things are worth paying for and tuning is one of them. There's folks that hang out in that section that that have much experience with SD and MAF

Post what you got and what you'd like to accomplish and they'll steer you right.

I assume you have the OBDII computer for the LT4 and harness? Ask in "Scan and Tune" if an older computer would easier to tune and set up.

I'm thinking it might be if you want to toss the CPS. But again I just don't know.

You would be much better off with a set of ford motorsport 30lbs injectors. The 28's are going to come close on a setup like that.. You also have to be really careful at the rating.. The only 28 injectors I know of that are actually LS1 injectors are 28.8 at 60psi!!! they come close to a stock injector at stock pressure.

This is true to a point. Big cams with significant overlap, along with the short runners of either a Mini Ram or a custom intake, can cause tuning headaches at idle and low rpm due to reversion. The MAF sensor can and will recognize air flow in BOTH directions. For a street driven car, this will be an issue. It can be tuned out (for the most part), but it is a hassle (I'm in the middle of it now). For a drag race only car, its not really an issue.

A lot of guys over at Third Gen switched over to Speed Density because of this and are very happy with the results.

Will you be tuning yourself, or having it done? If the latter, ask your tuner about which system he/she recommends for that cam.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. I have handed this job over to someone way more knowledgable than I.
