Only one place to look. In the cluster. The odometer is driven by an electric motor connected to the CPU board in the cluster. Sometimes the motor binds due to lack of use. Could be disconnected. The previous owner may have done this to stop milage increase.

Is there any way to see what the computer thinks the mileage is vs what is on the odometer?
