Corvette Kid - Thanks!
Casethecorvetteman - I will have it tuned out when I have the car retuned for headers and exhaust.
A few more questions:
This is what I have pulled off so far:
Is this part of the EGR or AIR and can it be removed?
What are the the top teed vacuum line connections for?
What are these two vacuum lines for? (The two sticking out of the harness near the injector plugs.)
Thanks again,
Dave

The 2nd pic, that's part of the PCV system, retain it.
The third pic, that's also necessary. It looks like it's shot. A new one was $6 full price at a dealer for my car about 3 years ago.
In the last pic, I'm not really able to discern what it is you're talking about.

Corvette Kid - The large item in the first picture is the air pump. In the last pic the vacuum lines I speak of plug into the the teed vacuum connection on the intake.
Do you know have the part number for this? The local Chevy dealer leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service.
The other thing i forgot to ask about is this round thing:
Can this be removed? What is it? Where is the other end of the vacuum hose that is connected to the bottom of this?
Thanks again,
Dave

I think the ones you mean in the last pic (of the engine) are the 2 that connect to the 1 way tee valve, they go to cruise control and dash vent controls. (bit hard to tell though, can you circle them for us?)

That's what they are. I knew where they connected but wasn't sure where the other end went.
Thanks,
Dave

Most of us know you know that!

Okay, so the car is finally back together and it throws a SES light. Ran a scan on it and its a Code 26 - CCP (Charcoal Canister Purge?). Car drives great and this code shows up then sometimes clears itself. Which item that was removed sets off this code?
Thanks again,
Dave

Ok, well youll have to have a look along the cable and the hoses to make sure there is no damage, and check the canister behind the right rear wheel.

Well im only guessing by saying so, but i dont think you will gain anything by disabling the charcoal canister. Ive never really looked into what exactly it is for to be honest. You can turn off the code in the ECM switch table on Tuner Cat with 94/95 so then it wont matter if you unplug it as far as codes go, but again like i say, i dont think there will be an advantage, and i dont know the reason for its presence. Someone will know, hopefully they will be able to tell us!!

There's your code. As I already said in post #6 of this thread, You will need custom tuning of get rid of this code.

Just wanted to make sure nothing else was wrong.
