Default Another New Guy!!!

What's up guys! I just joined the forum and wanted to say hey. No I don't have a 106mm turbo , but that car is SWEET .

I have a 95 that I rebuilt... forged 383. I just got my NX MAF nitrous system 2 days ago and I'm stoked! Cant wait to get it on. I'm also about to buy a set of heads. I was thinking about getting my heads done by AI, but now I think I'm going to go with an aftermarket casting. Both Trick Flows and AFRs have a 3/4" deck... great for nitrous. What do you guys think? Also, what's a good cam to go with because my lt4 hot cam sucks . It has to be streetable because this is my daily driver. RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE!!!

Welcome to the forum!! My understanding of the trickflows is they will lower compression. They have larger combustion chambers then what the factory LT1-4 heads came with. So unless you add pistons to compensate for this or are adding a blower they are not a good choice IMO.

Are you saying that you have a 383ci with a set of stock unported heads??? If this is the case you are just killing your horsepower. Lloyd Elliot is the guy you want to talk to about heads and a cam. You'll probably gain a good 100+ hp by adding them on there. Just make sure you get a good tune to go with it.

Yes I have a 383 with stock heads... I just built the bottom end and still can't decide on what to put up top . That's why I'm here!

True Trick Flow heads have a larger combustion chamber, but couldn't I mill them to bring the compression back up? I just got new KB pistons so that's out of the question. Also, it's my understanding that a little lower compression (9.0-9.5) isn't bad if you're running nitrous because it avoids detonation. What do you guys think?

KB hypereutectic pistons DO NOT LIKE NITROUS. Only use forged!
