C4 Column Lock, anyone have similar problem?

C4 Column Lock, anyone have similar problem?

Been having intermittent problems with Ignition Lock stuck.
Usually, after much forcing of the key, lock would turn
Today, after I got it in the garage fortunately, Lock refused to turn.
I got out my shop manuals to prepare to remove the lock and decided to try my spare key first.
Voila!!!
Lock worked smoothly!
Is this a coincidence or has anyone else had trouble with a worn key?
NOTE: This is not a VATS problem

Both keys - have to work them around in the lock to get it to release. Bad lock or two worn keys. Either way it's part of the personality of the car. Plus a slight antitheft advantage. I could hand somebody the keys and they wouldn't be driving off until they figured how to jiggle it properly...
