OK, new problem! For a while my torque converter seemed to be locking at odd times and rpm's. Now, it won't lock at all! My rpm's at say 70 mph are 300-400 rpm higher than when the converter locks! What would cause this? Is it hard on the tranny, and how do I fix it? What rpm should the converter lock up?
Connect a test light across ALDL pins A & F (top row each end). It will light until the ECM sends the lockup signal.
If OK, disconnect the wire into the solenoid at the tranny and jumper ALDL pins A & F. Turn On the ignition and verify the lockup voltage appears at the solenoid connector.
