FWIW - Backfire through intake fixed
Consistent sound (Tink!) or hesitation + sound. Only @ WOT. Only in 2nd gear. Always between 3000-3500 rpm's. Figured ignition problem, so began changing out plugs - all looked OK, #5 wet. Got to #6 and the wire came off *way* too easy - this is the angled connector to get around the dipstick tube. Second gear is now strong again. Yahoo!

good deal! plugs/wires are the cause of a large percentage of poor driveability issues.. gotta have spark!
noticed you're from crystal lake.. spent a whole bunch of time there cold testing with KBi.. spent a week a month there for 7 months last september thru april this year.. in fact i saw more monday night football games while in chicago than at home near detroit last season!!! good ol' spikes..
haven't been back there in awhile, but i'm headed that way first week of october for work again..
