86 very rough idle fix.
I got this car a few days ago and idled really bad and was told it had been like that since 99.. Got it home and traced out the vacume lines (first thing I look at on an old car) and found one broken and one disconnected. Connected one, replaced the other, idle is about perfect.. Be sure to check those vacume lines very carefully on the older cars that have seen a lot of time and heat.. Arlon

My solution was to completely remove the EVAP charcoal canister and the EGR system. I'll never idle roughly again! That's a lot of pain and suffering for nothing. The only vacuum lines in my car are for the HVAC, brake booster, PCV system, and the AFPR. Ain't life simple?
