I too am a victim of the wrong piston size. Hopefully it will be cleared up soon.

After catching wind of the piston size problem, I called CNC and asked if they would send me just the piston. They weren't willing to do anything this time around, and wouldn't even give me the correct piston diameter for my master.

I called McLeod, and they are willing to send me another master, so kudos to them. However, I have to send my old one in first, or pay for the new one and then get credit back when my old one arrives.

In the end, **** happens man. It sucks that the QC at CNC allowed something like this to happen, but it happend. Atleast McLeod is stepping up, CNC was very helpful the first time I called, but now they want nothing to do with me.

Just installed my master. I could feel the difference in the piston when depressing the shaft. I filled with gm clutch fluid and covered the line fitting hole with my finger and depressed and released the shaft so the body would fill before install. It didn't leak one drop when i did that. the previous 4 DID. I just finished pumping it a bit with the cover off to remove any air left and not a single drop in the car !!

Kudos to McLeod !! Im a happy guy !!

Just came back from driving it the entire evening/night and looked under the dash to find a super dry rubber boot and shaft.

****!

That rocks man. Hopefully my story is similar!

RE: The bleeding-

I do it by unbolting the slave and letting it hang in such a way that the the highest point on the slave body is the line. Then I attach my Mighty Vac to the bleeder screw. I pump fluid very slowly with the Mighty Vac up through the bleed screw into the slave, the line, and eventually the master. When the master is about 3/4 full, I close the bleeder and disconnect the Mighty Vac. When I bolt the slave back in, the fluid level in the master usually rises a bit. If it's too high I suck some fluid out with a syringe.

does it have to be bled from the slave? I figured just removing the master most air would come up through it and not go down to the slave. I held the line fitting with my finger and filled it with fluid. then i pushed in the plunger and saw air bubbles all come out of it and when i released it drew fluid in. I did this until the master wasnt pumping any air out and was full of fluid. After reconnecting i left the cap off andf coverd with a towl and pumped the pedal slowly halfway to try and get any air out. I didn't think the slave would need to be bled.

Since you did not disconnect the slave, that should work.

I just installed my new master last night. Car is driving great, no leaks as of yet.
