I can't speak from experience but from what I've heard, those particular Corbeau seats, although offered for the C4, don't fit in the car very easily. The latches on the side of the seats prevent it from fitting in the seat wells which are already quite cramped. Of course I may be wrong, but I took the safe route and used Corbeau Forzas...They fit great, look great in my opinion, and were respectably priced. They do not, however, have any adjustment to speak of. Not much room for that, anyway.
The stock seat belts work just fine-They're not impeded by the seats at all...I have a 5-point harness set-up that I use with a DRM roll bar. Day to day I use the stock belt, simply easier to get in and out of. But went I get the urge to rip, I use the 5-point...Very snug and secure, you're not going to move around much. If you listen to some on this board, the Corbeaus don't compare to the vastly more expensive Sparcos and the like...To each his own; the Forzas were a pleasant surprise to me when they arrived. Very well-built in my estimation, Corbeau sells a slider/bracket that fits the C4 perfectly making it a true bolt-in proposition.
Thanks for the info. Man it just doesn't seem like the stock belts would still work with those high lateral supports. Do you tread the stock belt though the belt opening in the seat or over the top?
I run the stock belts over the top of the lateral supports. It works ok.
If you're really thin the belt might not really contact you, that would not be good. This shouldn't be an issue for most Corvette drivers.
Fitting into the Forzas might be a problem for some (if much over 200 pounds).
If I were doing it again, I'd probably opt for the FX1-PRO. It appears (from the pictures anyway) to be flatter across and less intrusive in the belt area.
For me, the seats work just fine...They've been in my '86 for three years and wear like iron. You will find the seat puts you in an upright position perfect for performance driving, but you really can't 'slouch' in the seat. You can shim the front of the slider brackets a bit with washers to give a small bit of recline to your driving position. I drove to DEI in Mooresville, N.C. from Pittsburgh two years ago and had no trouble whatsoever. Tequila's right though; if you have much over a 36" waist it'll be a tight fit. I'm totally in the dark with the picture thing, but if i can get up to speed here I'll attempt to post pics.

I do know that MAM offered the CR1 for installation in the C4 at one time. They were only in the catalog for several months, so there may have been complaints about the fit.....
I notice that MAM pulled them out of the catalog after only one or two runs. The CR 1 is a wider seat. From my messurements, it looks as though it will fit, but I guess at the actual time of install it must be a problem.
I'm getting the feeling that any fixed back seat is the way to go for clearence.
Sparco has a great looking fixed back for the street.
Those Seats look great and seem to fit very well. I see that they come with a slider mounted on the seat already. Were you able to mount slider on the existing tracks or did you need to get an aftermarket kit. I see that they offer them with "Wedge Brand" adaptors. Let me know how difficult they were to install.
Thanks so much. I think I've found what I'm looking for.

those look nice... think the will work with my 300lb rear end?
Maybe. I just bought a set. Pep boys stocks them for the same price as Summit, and you don't have to pay shipping.
I'm mounting mine to the factory power bases. Looks like the APC base bolt pattern is a little wider than the factory base, so I'm going to need to use some flat stock.
Any of you guys with the aftermarket seats get any more headroom out of them? I know for a fact I can't lose any headroom - I scrape the roof with a helmet no matter how I adjust things. It would be nice to know if any of these seats mounted a little lower - and I could definitely ditch the power controls if it meant some more headroom.
