heads: fully ported.. that picture isn't a very good picture to show head porting.. heads already on the motor so it's dark in there, plus i used a flash so only the first area is very visible.. sorry!
headers: they're stamped 2149's, but the 2151's are the same but coated.. mine are coated as well, but i bought them used so i'm not sure if both versions are stamped 2149 and then 2151 is just a part number to specify coating too or what.. at any rate, they fit fine, no problems, plug access is good.. i used wrap to further reduce heat under the hood besides just coated headers.. also used booties on plug wires because at least two of them were close if not touching (taylor 8mm wires) and didn't want to chance it or deal with burned wires later..
Is that exhaust 3" all the way through? I wanted a similar setup but I want to run my bullet cats. I want to put them a little after where you have you x pipe. That's a cool setup.
it is 3" all the way from the header collectors to the mufflers.. if your cat's are 4" outer diameter and 3" inlet/outlet, they'd work fine, i think there is enough space to mount them pretty easy..
i'm actually thinking i'm gonna start looking for a center resonator, much like the stock one, but with 3" inlets and outlets.. i want to insert it where the x-pipe is basically because while everyone in the world thus far thinks my car sounds great, they don't have to sit in it driving for long!!!
i know some of the aftermarket exhaust systems have a 3" resonator setup, but i haven't seen 'em for sale seperately..
Thanks. If you get the manufacturer's catalog you can order any part separate. I removed my resonator and notice nothing. You might want to consider Magnaflow mufflers. They have zero resonance but a great sound.
