Default '94 LT1: AC Clutch Question

On my '94 LT1, the AC compressor clutch suddenly stopped working while I was driving to work today. The AC had been working fine and after making a quick stop and starting the car again, the clutch would no longer engage. After a very frustrating and hot drive to work, I let the car sit for about 15 minutes and the after starting it again the clutch worked just like it should and the compressor kicked on.

Any idea what relays to check ? There are several involved with the AC clutch operation as far as I can tell, any suggestions on how to start tracking it down ?

Thanks in advance.

Went out and checked again (slow day at work) and it worked just like it should. The car has never done this before, but with the heat we have here in Houston, being without AC for anytime at all during the day is really horrible.

Sounds like it just over heated. This weather is murder on everything.

Thanks for the reply. I never actually thought of it as being something as simple as that, so thanks for the different perspective.

I'd guess you have or had an intermittent connection at the Low Pressure Switch - it's popped up around here in the past and I had it my truck (usually when I'd go to leave Home Depot on a 100 Degree day). If it happens again, wriggle the connector or simply unplug it and plug it back in. If that cures it, it needs a new connector or Low Pressure Switch or both.
