Is this headlight noise normal?
Hi,
I have a 1992 C4. I had this car for about five years and since I've had it, it makes the same noise when I put up or down the headlights. They go up smoothly and when they are fully open and stop, they make a noise that sounds like ka-klunk, ka-klunk, ka-klunk, ka-klunk. It does it for a few seconds then stops. When I shut the lights, they go down smoothly and stop and then repeat the same noise for a few seconds. I always thought this must be normal but I'd like to know if it is normal. Are they supposed to be silent?

Try the link below. You'll need two sets of them to do your car. They go in the gearbox for the window motor, so you'll need to remove the actuators from your car to replace the pieces.

It is NOT normal. Your bushings have turned to powder. Check the C4 Tech Tips section for the fix. You can also check out this Corvette Fever Article until your replacement bushings arrive.
